What principles do we apply for personal data processing?

The principles indicated below are applied by the Rafa Nadal Foundation and by any person on its staff who has access to personal data. Personal data will always be:

What type of data do we process?

Basic identification data

Of the minor player who wishes to participate in the tournament and their parents or legal representative (name, surnames, ID and email). In addition, we will also collect data related to the club or sports federation to which the player belongs.

Tournament values data

During the development of the tournament, at each stage activities and dynamics are carried out that aim to promote fundamental values in players for their personal and sports development, such as sportsmanship, improvement, camaraderie, effort and discipline.

For this purpose, on the one hand, players will voluntarily complete questionnaires about the development of their own match or tournament, and on the other hand, they are evaluated for a position in the values ranking that ensures a place in the final tournament, based on the following aspects:

Attitude: The behavior and attitude that a player shows throughout the tournament is valued, both on the court and during values activities.
Values dynamics: Participation, results and records in activities designed to train different values are taken into account.
Conduct: Inappropriate actions during the tournament such as abuse, refusal to greet, lack of apology and unsportsmanlike conduct are penalized.

For what purpose do we process your data?

The personal data you provide will be used for the following purposes:

Manage your registration and participation in the "Rafa Nadal Tour by Santander" tournament
Carry out the draws and game brackets for each stage of the circuit
Manage the values ranking and award places for the final tournament
Send periodic information about the circuit and Foundation activities
Capture images and/or video for tournament promotion

How long do we keep your data?

The Rafa Nadal Foundation will keep the data for the legally established period for compliance with its obligations, or for the time necessary to fulfill the purpose for which they were collected and determine the possible responsibilities that could arise from such purpose and processing.

The retention of values ranking data will be one year after the completion of the tour. In the case of sending the newsletter and electronic communications, until you notify us that you want to stop receiving it.

What is the legal basis for processing your data?

The legal basis for processing is participation in the tournament, through the execution of the registration contract for the "Rafa Nadal Tour by Santander". The sending of information about the "Rafa Nadal Tour by Santander" and the Rafa Nadal Foundation is based on the consent that is requested, without the withdrawal of such consent in any case conditioning the minor's participation in the tournament.

Clubs that host each of the circuit stages
Tennis federation to which the participant belongs

Precisely, the incorporation of values training is a fundamental pillar of the circuit and one of the aspects that has given it a unique character.

Image and video capture

We also capture images and/or video of players during the tournament, with the sole purpose of promoting it on this microsite or on the Foundation's website and social networks, sponsor's website or social networks or Rafael Nadal's, and for which we request the due authorizations in accordance with current legislation.

Information and communications

In addition, we use your data to send you periodic information about topics related to the "Rafa Nadal Tour by Santander" circuit, the newsletter, as well as information about the Rafa Nadal Foundation's activities and projects that may be of interest to you.

Limitation of processing

In certain circumstances, interested parties may also request the limitation of the processing of their data, in which case we will only keep them for the exercise or defense of claims. The limitation of data processing can only be requested when:
